Fluent is hiring for 2020!

After a year of steady growth in 2019, we’ve got big plans to hire and staff up for exponential growth in 2020. Our small yet mighty team is looking for our next 3rd, 4th, 5th and possibly more team members over the next 30-90 days. Maybe that’s you or someone you know!

Who is #TeamFluent: Fluent is a fintech startup with a revolutionary new product called The Fluency Score. It operates like a FICO Score for startups, measuring and describing innovation and business model risk. We partner with organizations that deploy capital and resources to startups.

We also run founder training programs, called the Fluent 10x, around the country, in partnership with accelerators and other startup support organizations that want to see their local entrepreneurs succeed and compete at a global level. Our proprietary methodology has proven to predictably and repeatably help founders build valuable businesses, raise millions in capital, and solve real market problems.

We’re hiring for a variety of roles:

Generalist – (1-3 positions available) Part-time position, located anywhere with the potential for a full-time position in Denver starting in March; this team member will be trained as a founder coach to assist with our 10x accelerator program and as a Fluency Score evaluator. They’ll also have their hands in all of our product dev and customer-facing projects.

Generalist intern (1-2 positions available) – must be located in Omaha/Lincoln Nebraska; these interns will also be trained in founder coaching and will assist with a variety of projects

Design/marketing intern (1-2 positions available) – must be located in Omaha/Lincoln Nebraska; projects will include social media marketing, website design and content production, and more

What are we looking for?

We are a startup! We value folks who are kind, thoughtful, smart, willing to challenge the status quo, roll up their sleeves and figure out how to solve a problem, enjoy autonomy, and are comfortable with the deep amount of change and uncertainty we work through every day. We also work in a tight-knit collaborative culture with daily standups, afternoon cafe to debrief, sprint planning, retros, and monthly in-person work sessions since our team is distributed.

At the heart of every decision we make is whether it advances the field of entrepreneurial support, improves the outcomes and opportunities for founders- especially those that are living in unlikely places and don’t fit the standard founder mold.

What’s it like to work at Fluent?

We’re on video chat a lot! We use video chat to communicate internally and with our clients and the founders we serve. This means that, while we have some geographic preferences for many of the roles we’re hiring for, often the work can be done from anywhere.

Our team travels quite a bit as well, kicking off founder training programs, speaking at conferences, and working on site with our clients on special projects.
